THE COMING DEMOCRAT IMPLOSION
| Written by Dr. Jack Wheeler | |
| Thursday, 14 January 2010 | |
For all their power-grabbing fascist arrogance, the Democrats in Washington are coming to resemble Mack Sennett's bumbling-fumbling Keystone Kops more with each passing day. Republicans in Washington are in a certain kind of awe over the Dems' performance. Walk around the halls of Capitol Hill. You don't need name tags to identify the Pubs from the Dems. The former are walking with zest and smiling cheerfully - except when they cast a glance of astonished puzzlement at the latter shuffling dejectedly along and refusing to look at their cheerier colleagues in the eye. How could everything go to hell so quickly? That's the question both are asking themselves. It is a mystery to both. "I guess we really are in a state of shock and awe over what they have done to themselves," says a buddy of mine who's chief of staff to a principal GOP Senator. "I just hope we learn the right lesson from it." The Dems had the whole enchilada, he said - solid control of the House and Senate, an enormously popular new president with a press that literally worshipped him, they had it all. You just can't ask for a more powerful setup in Washington. Yet in less than a year, they've thrown it all away - they've "shot their bolt," he said - and "the weirdest part, Jack, is they've shot their bolt while getting nothing for it." "You think the TeaParty folks are mad at the Pelosi-Reid-Obama Gang?" he asked me rhetorically. That's just anger in a teapot compared to the cauldron of hate boiling the Left. One by one, he listed the Dem constituencies that are in a state of disgusted rage. The unions are enraged at the Dems for not passing Card Check. The enviros are enraged at the Dems for not passing Cap & Trade. The Hispanics are enraged at the Dems for not passing amnesty for illegal aliens. The homosexuals are enraged at the Dems for not legalizing homosexual "marriage." And the moonbats across the board are enraged at the Dems for continuing the war in Afghanistan and being deeply in bed with Wall Street "fat cat bankers." The last straw for all of them is the Dem "sell-out" on the full socialization of medicine via the "public option" now deleted from ObamaCare. Typical, my buddy said, is a rant by a political science professor at Hofstra University, David Greene, who is so left wing he calls non-"progressives" (meaning anyone not a moonbat) "regressives". "All the (Senate) staffers are reading it - the Dems seriously, us for comic relief. It's hilarious - you've to see it, Jack." So he called it up on his computer, and soon I was laughing my head off. Greene starts off calling Zero a "little prick," and says he's so angry at him that: "...the thing I want most from the 2010 elections is for his party to get absolutely clobbered, even if that means a repeat of 1994. And that what I most want from 2012 is for him to be utterly humiliated, even if that means President Palin at the helm." He goes on to detail how ObamaCare is "a total train wreck" for the Democrat Party, both if it passes and if it doesn't. He calls ObamaCare "President Nothingburger's great gift to America, along with doing nothing about jobs, doing nothing about the Middle East, nothing about civil liberties, nothing about civil rights, and now doing nothing at Copenhagen (about global warming)." This guy is seriously steamed (you can read the whole rant here) - and he speaks for millions of liberals (they call themselves "progressives" now) who formerly worshipped Zero and now hate his guts. It's one thing for TeaPartyers and conservatives to despise Zero and his party. It's one thing for a majority of voters to say they would vote against him today. But for him and his party to be despised by his once most fervent supporters - that is an achievement of incompetence truly on a Keystone Kops level. Perhaps the strangest aspect to all of this is the feeling of inevitable doom pervading Dems on the Hill. They know they're headed for disaster yet they keep marching toward disaster in lockstep anyway. "We've crossed the Rubicon" is the expression you now hear them all say, meaning there's no turning back from passing ObamaCare no matter what the political cost to them. (The Rubicon river in northeastern Italy marked the boundary between Cisalpine Gaul and Italy proper which no Roman Army legion was allowed to cross. When Julius Caesar defied the law of the Roman Senate and led his army across the Rubicon in 49 BC, he initiated thereby a civil war to control Rome. At the time of the crossing, he uttered the famous words ālea iacta EST , "the die is cast.") Caesar thought destiny was on his side. The Democrats think doom is on theirs. They cannot understand how they have worked their way into this trap, where no matter what they do now, they're screwed. The Republicans are happy about all of this, of course - but the happiness is superficial. It wasn't that long ago when they had the whole enchilada - the White House, Senate, and House under Bush - and that ended poorly. My friend and I agreed -- Hubris teaches you the lessons of life the hard way. And we agreed - "Hubris is what we have got to most avoid once the Dems implode," he said. "We've all read Peggy Noonan's ‘The Risk of Catastrophic Victory.' We've got to be, as she says, ‘worthy of victory.' I'm spending a lot of time thinking how we can be. All of us here are." "By victory, you mean a Senate majority?" I asked. "A House majority this November is in the cards, but the Senate?" He fussed with what hair he had left on his head. "Well, the best in the business, Charlie Cook, is now saying the Dems could lose net nine seats in November, including Boxer. So maybe. But I mean something more catastrophic than losing their majority." All I could do was make a grimace of incomprehension. "You know those buildings that are demolished? They don't blow up, they blow in, the building collapses in upon itself and implodes. That's what may happen to the Democrats. And it may happen a lot sooner than next November." I paused. "You mean...?" "Jack," he explained, "if Brown loses next week in Massachusetts in the single digits, say by 8 or 9%, it's an enormous victory for us. If he loses by 5% or less, it's massive." "And if he wins?" He answered with just two words: "Game over." He looked at me intensely. "As in finita la musica, the music is over. These guys will turn on themselves with a viciousness you will not believe, Jack. Chuck Schumer will kneecap Harry Reid in a heartbeat, so we'll have a new Majority Leader. But Schumer is smart enough to realize the whole Democrat agenda is in ruins and that he can't blame it all on Reid. So the hunt will be on for the right scapegoat." He let me guess. I took a stab. "The knives seem to be coming out for Geithner." He nodded. "Yes, he probably will be tossed overboard by Obama - in order to save himself." I looked at him like a deer looks into headlights. He belly laughed. "Jack, you look like you need a drink. Where did I hide that bottle of Famous Grouse you got me for my birthday?" He found it. He was right - I did need it. "Jack - didn't you predict sometime last year there would be calls for Obama to resign? You just never thought they'd come from his own party!" I was still trying to process this. "This is still a huge if, you know. The anger among the left against Obama is steadily building and it's going to blow sometime. The Democrats to save themselves will have to scapegoat him. If the Massachusetts Miracle happens next week, then the demands that he resign will start soon. If not, then the demands may not start until after the debacle in November. And they may never happen. But the odds are growing, my friend." He smiled to himself. "You know they'll try to get us to join their call to ‘Resign!' We'll send them a smoke signal - ‘He's all yours, guys...' This could be a lot of fun." He raised his shot glass. "Here's to our not screwing it up this time." "I'll drink to that," I responded, and we did. |

ON SHEEP, WOLVES, AND SHEEPDOGS
ON SHEEP, WOLVES, AND SHEEPDOGS
In brief, Jill Edwards, a junior math major at the University of Washington, and a member of the UW student senate, opposed a memorial to UW grad "Pappy" Boyington. Boyington was a U.S. Marine aviator who earned the Medal of Honor in World War II. Edwards said that she didn't think it was appropriate to honor a person who killed other people. She also said that a member of the Marine Corps was NOT an example of the sort of person the University of Washington wanted to produce.
What follows is Gen. Dula's letter to the University of Washington student senate leader.
To: Edwards, Jill (student, UW)
Subject: Sheep, Wolves and Sheepdogs
Miss Edwards, I read of your 'student activity' regarding the proposed memorial to Col Greg Boyington, USMC and a Medal of Honor winner. I suspect you will receive a bellyful of angry e-mails from conservative folks like me. You may be too young to appreciate fully the sacrifices of generations of servicemen and servicewomen on whose shoulders you and your fellow students stand. I forgive you for the untutored ways of youth and your naiveté.
It may be that you are, simply, a sheep. There's no dishonor in being a sheep - - as long as you know and accept what you are. Please take a couple of minutes to read the following. And be grateful for the thousands - - millions - - of American sheepdogs who permit you the freedom to express even bad ideas.

ON SHEEP, WOLVES, AND SHEEPDOGS
By LTC(RET) Dave Grossman, RANGER,
Ph.D., author of "On Killing."
Honor never grows old, and honor rejoices the heart of age. It does so because honor is, finally, about defending those noble and worthy things that deserve defending, even if it comes at a high cost. In our time, that may mean social disapproval, public scorn, hardship, persecution, or as always,even death itself. The question remains: What is worth defending? What is worth dying for? What is worth living for? - William J. Bennett - in a lecture to the United States Naval Academy November 24, 1997
One Vietnam veteran, an old retired colonel, once said this to me: "Most of the people in our society are sheep. They are kind, gentle, productive creatures who can only hurt one another by accident." This is true. Remember, the murder rate is six per 100,000 per year, and the aggravated assault rate is four per 1,000 per year. What this means is that the vast majority of Americans are not inclined to hurt one another.
Some estimates say that two million Americans are victims of violent crimes every year, a tragic, staggering number, perhaps an all-time record rate of violent crime. But there are almost 300 million Americans, which means that the odds of being a victim of violent crime is considerably less than one in a hundred on any given year. Furthermore, since many violent crimes are committed by repeat offenders, the actual number of violent citizens is considerably less than two million.
Thus there is a paradox, and we must grasp both ends of the situation: We may well be in the most violent times in history, but violence is still remarkably rare. This is because most citizens are kind, decent people who are not capable of hurting each other, except by accident or under extreme provocation. They are sheep.
I mean nothing negative by calling them sheep. To me, it is like the pretty, blue robin's egg. Inside it is soft and gooey but someday it will grow into something wonderful. But the egg cannot survive without its hard blue shell.
Police officers, soldiers, and other warriors are like that shell, and someday the civilization they protect will grow into something wonderful. For now, though, they need warriors to protect them from the predators.
"Then there are the wolves," the old war veteran said, "and the wolves feed on the sheep without mercy." Do you believe there are wolves out there who will feed on the flock without mercy? You better believe it. There are evil men in this world and they are capable of evil deeds. The moment you forget that or pretend it is not so, you become a sheep. There is no safety in denial.
"Then there are sheepdogs," he went on, "and I'm a sheepdog. I live to protect the flock and confront the wolf."
If you have no capacity for violence then you are a healthy productive citizen, a sheep. If you have a capacity for violence and no empathy for your fellow citizens, then you have defined an aggressive sociopath, a wolf.
But what if you have a capacity for violence, and a deep love for your fellow citizens? What do you have then? A sheepdog, a warrior, someone who is walking the hero's path. Someone who can walk into the heart of darkness, into the universal human phobia, and walk out unscathed
Let me expand on this old soldier's excellent model of the sheep, wolves, and sheepdogs. We know that the sheep live in denial, that is what makes them sheep. They do not want to believe that there is evil in the world. They can accept the fact that fires can happen, which is why they want fire extinguishers, fire sprinklers, fire alarms and fire exits throughout their kids' schools.
But many of them are outraged at the idea of putting an armed police officer in their kid's school. Our children are thousands of times more likely to be killed or seriously injured by school violence than fire, but the sheep's only response to the possibility of violence is denial. The idea of someone coming to kill or harm their child is just too hard, and so they chose the path of denial.
The sheep generally do not like the sheepdog. He looks a lot like the wolf. He has fangs and the capacity for violence. The difference, though, is that the sheepdog must not, can not and will not ever harm the sheep. Any sheep dog who intentionally harms the lowliest little lamb will be punished and removed. The world cannot work any other way, at least not in a representative democracy or a republic such as ours.
Still, the sheepdog disturbs the sheep. He is a constant reminder that there are wolves in the land. They would prefer that he didn't tell them where to go, or give them traffic tickets, or stand at the ready in our airports, in camouflage fatigues, holding an M-16. The sheep would much rather have the sheepdog cash in his fangs, spray paint himself white, and go, "Baa." Until the wolf shows up. Then the entire flock tries desperately to hide behind one lonely sheepdog.
The students, the victims, at Columbine High School were big, tough high school students, and under ordinary circumstances they would not have had the time of day for a police officer. They were not bad kids; they just had nothing to say to a cop. When the school was under attack, however, and SWAT teams were clearing the rooms and hallways, the officers had to physically peel those clinging, sobbing kids off of them. This is how the little lambs feel about their sheepdog when the wolf is at the door.
Look at what happened after September 11, 2001 when the wolf pounded hard on the door. Remember how America, more than ever before, felt differently about their law enforcement officers and military personnel? Remember how many times you heard the word hero?
Understand that there is nothing morally superior about being a sheepdog; it is just what you choose to be. Also understand that a sheepdog is a funny critter: He is always sniffing around out on the perimeter, checking the breeze, barking at things that go bump in the night, and yearning for a righteous battle. That is, the young sheepdogs yearn for a righteous battle. The old sheepdogs are a little older and wiser, but they move to the sound of the guns when needed, right along with the young ones.
Here is how the sheep and the sheepdog think differently. The sheep pretend the wolf will never come, but the sheepdog lives for that day. After the attacks on September 11, 2001, most of the sheep, that is, most citizens in America said, "Thank God I wasn't on one of those planes." The sheepdogs, the warriors, said, "Dear God, I wish I could have been on one of those planes. Maybe I could have made a difference." When you are truly transformed into a warrior and have truly invested yourself into warriorhood, you want to be there. You want to be able to make a difference.
There is nothing morally superior about the sheepdog, the warrior, but he does have one real advantage. Only one. And that is that he is able to survive and thrive in an environment that destroys 98 percent of the population.
There was research conducted a few years ago with individuals convicted of violent crimes. These cons were in prison for serious, predatory crimes of violence: assaults, murders and killing law enforcement officers. The vast majority said that they specifically targeted victims by body language: Slumped walk, passive behavior and lack of awareness. They chose their victims like big cats do in Africa, when they select one out of the herd that is least able to protect itself.
Some people may be destined to be sheep and others might be genetically primed to be wolves or sheepdogs. But I believe that most people can choose which one they want to be, and I'm proud to say that more and more Americans are choosing to become sheepdogs.
Seven months after the attack on September 11, 2001, Todd Beamer was honored in his hometown of Cranbury, New Jersey. Todd, as you recall, was the man on Flight 93 over Pennsylvania who called on his cell phone to alert an operator from United Airlines about the hijacking. When he learned of the other three passenger planes that had been used as weapons, Todd dropped his phone and uttered the words, "Let's roll," which authorities believe was a signal to the other passengers to confront the terrorist hijackers. In one hour, a transformation occurred among the passengers - athletes, business people and parents. -- from sheep to sheepdogs and together they fought the wolves, ultimately saving an unknown number of lives on the ground.
There is no safety for honest men except by believing all possible evil of evil men. - Edmund Burke
Here is the point I like to emphasize, especially to the thousands of police officers and soldiers I speak to each year. In nature the sheep, real sheep, are born as sheep. Sheepdogs are born that way, and so are wolves. They didn't have a choice. But you are not a critter. As a human being, you can be whatever you want to be. It is a conscious, moral decision.
If you want to be a sheep, then you can be a sheep and that is okay, but you must understand the price you pay. When the wolf comes, you and your loved ones are going to die if there is not a sheepdog there to protect you. If
you want to be a wolf, you can be one, but the sheepdogs are going to hunt you down and you will never have rest, safety, trust or love. But if you want to be a sheepdog and walk the warrior's path, then you must make a conscious and moral decision every day to dedicate, equip and prepare yourself to thrive in that toxic, corrosive moment when the wolf comes knocking at the door.
For example, many officers carry their weapons in church. They are well concealed in ankle holsters, shoulder holsters or inside-the-belt holsters tucked into the small of their backs. Anytime you go to some form of religious service, there is a very good chance that a police officer in your congregation is carrying. You will never know if there is such an individual in your place of worship, until the wolf appears to massacre you and your loved ones.
I was training a group of police officers in Texas, and during the break, one officer asked his friend if he carried his weapon in church. The other cop replied, "I will never be caught without my gun in church." I asked why he felt so strongly about this, and he told me about a cop he knew who was at a church massacre in Ft. Worth, Texas in 1999. In that incident, a mentally deranged individual came into the church and opened fire, gunning down fourteen people. He said that officer believed he could have saved every life that day if he had been carrying his gun. His own son was shot, and all he could do was throw himself on the boy's body and wait to die. That cop looked me in the eye and said, "Do you have any idea how hard it would be to live with yourself after that?"
Some individuals would be horrified if they knew this police officer was carrying a weapon in church. They might call him paranoid and would probably scorn him. Yet these same individuals would be enraged and would call for "heads to roll" if they found out that the airbags in their cars were defective, or that the fire extinguisher and fire sprinklers in their kids' school did not work. They can accept the fact that fires and traffic accidents can happen and that there must be safeguards against them.
Their only response to the wolf, though, is denial, and all too often their response to the sheepdog is scorn and disdain. But the sheepdog quietly asks himself, "Do you have any idea how hard it would be to live with yourself if your loved ones were attacked and killed, and you had to stand there helplessly because you were unprepared for that day?"
It is denial that turns people into sheep. Sheep are psychologically destroyed by combat because their only defense is denial, which is counterproductive and destructive, resulting in fear, helplessness and horror when the wolf shows up.
Denial kills you twice. It kills you once, at your moment of truth when you are not physically prepared: you didn't bring your gun, you didn't train. Your only defense was wishful thinking. Hope is not a strategy. Denial kills you a second time because even if you do physically survive, you are psychologically shattered by your fear, helplessness and horror at your moment of truth.
Gavin de Becker puts it like this in Fear Less, his superb post-9/11 book, which should be required reading for anyone trying to come to terms with our current world situation: "...denial can be seductive, but it has an insidious side effect. For all the peace of mind deniers think they get by saying it isn't so, the fall they take when faced with new violence is all the more unsettling."
Denial is a save-now-pay-later scheme, a contract written entirely in small print, for in the long run, the denying person knows the truth on some level. And so the warrior must strive to confront denial in all aspects of his life, and prepare himself for the day when evil comes.
If you are warrior who is legally authorized to carry a weapon and you step outside without that weapon, then you become a sheep, pretending that the bad man will not come today. No one can be "on" 24/7, for a lifetime. Everyone needs down time. But if you are authorized to carry a weapon, and you walk outside without it, just take a deep breath, and say this to yourself..."Baa."
This business of being a sheep or a sheep dog is not a yes-no dichotomy. It is not an all-or-nothing, either-or choice. It is a matter of degrees, a continuum. On one end is an abject, head-in-the-sand-sheep and on the other end is the ultimate warrior. Few people exist completely on one end or the other.
Most of us live somewhere in between. Since 9-11 almost everyone in America took a step up that continuum, away from denial. The sheep took a few steps toward accepting and appreciating their warriors, and the warriors started taking their job more seriously. The degree to which you move up that continuum, away from sheephood and denial, is the degree to which you and your loved ones will survive, physically and psychologically at your moment of truth.

From Naval Aviator, Commander Jerry Wilson
I read Saul Alinsky when I was in University. I studied him and his writing carefully. When Bill Ayers and his idiot wife were bombing and killing people at random in the Weather Underground. Weather Underground and the Black Panthers were closely allied. I read David Horowitz's account of changing from a Marxist to a conservative after seeing that the government was afraid to prosecute members of the Panthers for murdering his personal assistant. He suddenly understood the evil that Marxism really was.
After the student radicals failed in creating a Marxist revolution in the United States by violent means, they embraced Alinsky. You would be wise to read "Rules for Radicals" because it outlines how Hillary and Obama planned to get into power, and what they intended to do when they got it.
Socialism is not the correct descriptor for what Obama and the Democrats are doing. They are going to be much more far reaching than anything Sweden has ever been able to do. Obama is following Alinsky's plans, those set out in "Rules for Radicals" and his other writing. The Democrats are attempting to
create one party rule in the U.S. And in achieving that, will create crisis after crisis by their own actions and use those crisis to nationalize the means of production in the U.S. You are in the middle of a communist
revolution and few in the U.S. Can actually see it for what it truly is.
The U.S. . Is now on the path of financial destruction. The Constitution has been shredded and individual human rights are being trampled. In less than 8 months. Obama has used a recession to take over the two largest industries in the U.S. He will debase the Dollar and is on the road to creating an incredible energy shortage that will allow him and Congress to take over the energy industry.
But by and large I think that by the 2010 elections, the Democrats will have gerrymandered electoral districts to the point that it will be impossible for them to lose control of both houses of Congress. The incredible increase in the money supply is going to create Zimbabwe and Venezuela style inflation, and with it, controls on the currency and the amount of money that can be taken out of the country.
I love America , I cannot believe how the ignorance of the American public has created a situation whereby they are going to lose their Republic and slip into an age of repression and tyranny.
I may be nuts, but so far I have been 100% in my predictions of what Obama was going to do, because I merely had to look at "Rules for Radicals" to see what was coming next.
I read Glenn Beck's book, "Common Sense" and in it re-read Thomas Paines pamphlet with the same name. I recommend the book.
When the storm finally hits (and it will), those of you who supported the Obama administration will be affected as well. It won't just be us gun owners or Flat-Taxers, or Pro-Lifers that get hit. You'll be right there next to us.
You all thought the Conservatives were nut cases. You know, all of us who believe in God, small government, the Second Amendment, etc. You thought you could just go back to sleep after the election was over. In your world, America will continue as before. You'll still have the same rights, the same nice house, the same big screen television. After all, your high school football team won and the other team lost - go team! Even if you have bothered to look up from the daily grind since Nov 4th, you dismissed everything that has occurred as "politics as usual--the same old stuff".
In the end, it'll all be OK won't it? Not this time.
There are a growing number of citizens in the US that are ready to fight to shut down the government's grab of personal Freedom, it's blatant abuse of the constitution, and it's attempt to replace the American way of life with socialism. You have to listen carefully to hear them, but they are there. I won't start that fight, but when it goes down I will join it.
As for you, why, you'll be shocked because you didn't see it coming. And eventually you'll be saddened when you see that we have truly lost the way of life with which you grew up. You'll be saddened that your children and grandchildren live in a socialist, government-controlled gulag where their every movement from cradle to grave is tracked by the government. But most of all, you'll be saddened by the death of friends and relatives who are brave enough to fight and die for something they believe in.
You know, McCain wasn't much of a candidate. I'll give you that. He was the lesser of two evils for most of us. I don't blame you for not voting for him since, at the time, you didn't know what we all know now. But at least John McCain was an American. He was a supporter of the American way of life and
he understood that you can't negotiate with terrorists. He understood and appreciated the sacrifice made by my father and other members of the Greatest Generation.
Mark my words friends. All across America groups are forming. They are forming out of anger and out of desperation at the thought of losing America . They're not militia groups, terrorists as the Department of Homeland security would have you believe; they are Americans, loyal to the constitution. They are mothers and fathers and grandparents. They belong to groups like the Minutemen Civil Defense Corps, the Peaceful Resistance, the Constitution Party, the Young Conservatives, the 9/12 Project, and Grassfire. Right now they are fragmented, each focused on their own cause. But sometime in the next two years, our government is going to do something really stupid and these groups will come together. Watch for it, wait for it--get ready. It will happen.
When that event happens, whatever "it" is, our great country is going to plunge into chaos for a while. I pray to God that we make it through that time and emerge a stronger, smarter country.

1981 - Pakistan and Obama?

Alright all you conspiracy theorist, here’s one for you. Obama traveled to Pakistan at age 20 (he has claimed this a number of times). That would make the year 1981.
Answer the following question – what passport did he travel under?
If it was a British passport, that would provide proof that he was born in Kenya not in Hawaii, otherwise he wouldn’t be eligible to have a British passport. If it was an Indonesia passport, then that would prove he relinquished whatever previous citizenship he held (British or American) prior to being adopted by his Indonesian step-father in 1967, again, otherwise he wouldn’t be eligible to have a Indonesian passport.
Right now everyone is saying ‘Hey dummy, Obama traveled under a U.S. passport, Duh.’. The problem with that is that if he had a U.S. Passport in 1981 he couldn’t have used it to get Pakistan in 1981, Pakistan was on the U.S. State Department’s “No Travel / Banned” list in 1981 and no Americans were permitted to travel there!
So how exactly is it that Obama got to Pakistan in 1981 while also being eligible to be President of the United States?

Who am I?
*I was born in one country, raised in another. My father was born in another country.. I was not his only child. He fathered several children with numerous women.
*I became very close to my mother, as my father showed no interest in me. My mother died at an early age from cancer.
*Later in life, questions arose over my real name.
*My birth records were sketchy and no one was able to produce a legitimate, reliable birth certificate.
*I grew up practicing one faith but converted to Christianity, as it was widely accepted in my country, but I practiced non-traditional beliefs & didn't follow Christianity, except in the public eye under scrutiny.
*I worked and lived among lower-class people as a young adult, disguising myself as someone who really cared about them.
*That was before I decided it was time to get serious about my life and I embarked on a new career.
*I wrote a book about my struggles growing up. It was clear to those who read my memoirs that I had difficulties accepting that my father abandoned me as a child.
*I became active in local politics in my 30's then with help behind the scenes, I literally burst onto the scene as a candidate for national office in my 40s. They said I had a golden tongue and could talk anyone into anything. That reinforced my conceit.
*I had a virtually non-existent resume, little work history, and no experience in leading a single organization. Yet I was a powerful speaker and citizens were drawn to me as though I were a magnet and they were small roofing tacks.
*I drew incredibly large crowds during my public appearances. This bolstered my ego.
At first, my political campaign focused on my country's foreign policy.. I was very critical of my country in the last war and seized every opportunity to bash my country..
*But what launched my rise to national prominence were my views on the country's economy. I pretended to have a really good plan on how we could do better and every poor person would be fed & housed for free.
*I knew which group was responsible for getting us into this mess.. It was the free market, banks & corporations. I decided to start making citizens hate them and if they were envious of others who did well, the plan was clinched tight.
*I called mine "A People's Campaign" and that sounded good to all people.
*I was the surprise candidate because I emerged from outside the traditional path of politics & was able to gain widespread popular support.
*I knew that, if I merely offered the people 'hope' , together we could change our country and the world.
*So, I started to make my speeches sound like they were on behalf of the downtrodden, poor, ignorant to include "persecuted minorities" like the Jews. My true views were not widely known & I needed to keep them unknown, until after I became my nation's leader.

LOL
One of the two democrats’ who switched parties then switches back (I would like to say he did it because it’s funny as hell, but most likely he was pressured into it). The Senate is now tied 31 votes a side (only New York could be stupid enough to have a house with an equal number of seats, I mean really!). The democrats, who still do not have enough votes too legally elect (or re-elect, or what-ever) a President, simply refuse to recognize the republican President.
Two weeks of total grid lock follow. Well, one exception, the whole Senate did manage to get in one vote, a measure to insure that THEY STILL GET PAIDED was voted on and passed (go figure). The Governor, P.Oed that State Senators would be going on vacation (this normal session is over) without passing a number of ‘house keeping’ Bills to insure that the rest of the State continues to run, calls the Senate into special session (the Law says they HAVE to be at a special session). And has threatened (rightly so) to continue to call special session every single day (including weekend and holidays) until the Senate gets their job done.
So, day one of the special session: the republican President calls the session to order and everyone stands for the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag (apparently you can still do this in a government building), everyone that is except the democrats. They remain seated, apparently intending to pretend that the session is not really taking place because their President didn’t call it to order. Unfortunately, most of us voters, including democrat voters, care more about our country than our political party and you STAND during the Pledge (and when the National Anthem is sung, yah, I’m talking to you mooks at the Hockey games)! Day one ends with nothing being accomplished.
Day two: talks about power sharing break down earlier in the day, the republican come to the Senate chamber to find the doors locked. The democrats are already in the chamber and open the doors only when their President is at the podium with control of the gavel. The republican President tries to mount the podium but is stopped by the Master-at-arms (who is a democrat, as the republican haven’t had a chance as of yet to make any changes, so at least there is only one Master-at-arms (or is he called Sergeant-at-arms?)). So the republican President takes station in front of the podium and opens the session, but not really, because he has to bang the gavel, which he doesn’t have. The Secretary of the Senate (also a democrat) is not taking the minutes because ‘officially’ the Senate is not in session. The President calls roll, the republican answer, the democrats do not. Stuff happens, the democrats do not participate. The republican leave. The democrats then open their own session and make a big speech about how what just happened, didn’t happen and how nothing the Senate does right now would matter anyway because the Assembly is not in session and the Governor cannot call special sessions for the Assembly anyway.
So I have an idea, the democrats gave it to me. Let’s get all 62 of them into the chamber and LOCK THEM IN. Either they figure out how to do their jobs, or they all starve to death and we elect new ones.

I'm going back to bed, somebody wake me in 4 years.

Let me get this straight,
Rod Blagojevich presided over the swearing in of the new Illinois State Senate, next week that same Senate will preside over his impeachment.
A New Jersey couple just had their son Adolf Hitler Cambel taken away from them by Children's Services. Children's Services claim it's not because of the child's name, but won't disclose why they took the couples three children.
President Elect Obama's choice to be Treasury Secretary, Timothy Geithner, is being investigated for Tax Fraud.
The Big Three Automakers, who just got a multi Billion dollar bailout of tax payer money, are lobbing Congress to raise the fuel tax to boost sales of smaller cars that they have to make because it's one of the conditions imposed by Congress for the bailout money.
The Pope plans to release guidelines to authenticate sighting of the Virgin Mary.
And a Man in California called police to help him get his 14-year-old daughter back from the man he SOLD her to, because the man missed a payment.
When did Rod Serling start running reality?

Illinois, A Governor, and the Sword of Power

Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich is not planning on resigning. After all, why should he? The people of Illinois want him there; they voted him into office, signifying by divine right, that he, Rod Blagojevich should wield Excalibur. That is why he is the King!
Eliot Spitzer had the decency to step down. But then he also had the benefit of the knowledge, that he gained when he was New York’s Attorney General and was actively prosecuting prostitution rings, that prostitution is illegal. Blagojevich doesn’t think he did anything wrong.
Sure, putting the appointment to a United States Senate Seat up on e-bay might be going a bit far, but even he didn’t go that far.
I’m sure the Kennedy’s, Cuomo’s and every single union in New York have ‘expressed interest’ with Governor David Patterson for the Clinton Senate Seat that is about to be vacant. During this ‘expression of interest’ I’m sure the interested parties let Governor David Patterson know what the ‘benefits’ are for their candidate of choice.
Surely some of these ‘benefits’ are what’s good (in their opinion) for New York or what’s good (in their opinion) for the Country. But some of it is just as surely what’s good for David Patterson.
So what’s the big deal? All Blagojevich did was define what ‘benefits’ he was willing to listen too. That and ask for cash. Oh, and start the conversation with those he really wanted to talk to.
So three differences, which one crossed the line? It cannot have to do with the taking of a bribe, oops, sorry, considering personal ‘benefits’, because, hell, that’s how we finance campaigns these days.
Was it the cash? We all know that once cash is involved it’s a dirty deal. Then again, politicians are programmed now days to take as much cash from as many people as possible. We call it fundraising to get elected and taxes once elected.
Was it having the balls to make the call first instead of waiting for them to come to him? Blagojevich was just being efficient, getting the ball rolling quickly so as to be able to get back to the work he was elected to do.
Or was is it defining what he wanted? Again, The Governor was just trying to be helpful, and not waste anyone’s time. After all, all those poor folks who were just interested in the good of Illinois and the Country but couldn’t afford the price would know right away not to even try.
No, I’m sure Blagojevich doesn’t think he did anything wrong. In fact, all he did was take what is currently the political norm and go one step further.
Rod, clearly the Chicago Mob/Corruption scene is to tame for someone with your vision and talents. I suggest you name yourself to the Senate Seat, you’d fit right in with the D.C. crowds. Besides, in Chicago you’ll have to put up with those ‘Moral High-Ground’ Illinois Supreme Court Justices, the U.S. Senate Committee will be more understanding.
Long Live the King.
Sometimes my sarcasm knows no bounds.

The Feel Good Philosophy of Failure
Think about it. We as a society have become an emotional, feel good driven people.
How often do we do things just because it instantly satisfies our feelings? And how often are those things good for us? We want something sweet, we eat ice-cream. Given the choice between mashed potatoes smothered in gravy or rice with steamed eggplant, we take the artery clogging potatoes and gravy.
And we don’t do it just for ourselves; we feel the need to do it for everyone. Why look, the poorest of Americans cannot afford to buy their own home. We must make sure that there is a government sponsored program that helps them buy a house.
We conservatives are the ones who advocate not eating the ice-cream. We conservatives are the ones who said changing reality to allow the poorest of Americans buy a house is not a good idea. And we are hated for both.
It all comes down to consequences and results. Consequence is a four-letter-word now days. And results are no longer as important as intentions.
Someone gets heart disease from eating too much ice-cream and it’s the fault of the ice-cream manufacture. The U.S. economy goes into the toilet and greedy Wall-Street is to blame.
Pointing out that the heart disease victim had a choice of what to eat makes you unsympathetic and cold. Laying blame on the good intentions of mandatory government sponsored loan policies gets turned into accusations of Racism and Class-Warfare.
How do we respond to that?
We can do what many of our so called Conservative elected officials are doing, join the Liberals and try to make the irresponsible feel-good decisions they champions a little less destructive. Playing by the bi-partisan rules they so artfully created (that means sacrificing our ideals and beliefs).
Or perhaps we can take a page out of the past, a page out of Ronald Regan’s book. Educate Fight and Win!
I find it amusing that all the people Regan crushed are now claiming that the Regan Republicans are dead. That they cannot win elections anymore, that those ideas should be left behind and not tried again.
The enemy has a weak run defense and they are telling us, to beat them, we need to abandon the run and pass more.
The one thing that Liberalism and Socialism can never stand on is their results. That’s the one thing Conservatives can always stand on and win with.
Or is it just me?

The New Reagan Revolution

The NEW Reagan Revolution
Bring Conservatism BACK!
From the Desk of Michael Reagan
Friday, Nov. 7
Dear Conservative Friend,
It's official: America has its first truly Socialist president... and it's the Republican Party's fault.
No, scratch that -- it's the so-called "leaders" of the GOP who are at fault for this humiliating defeat -- and I say it's time to name names and make heads roll in our party. Because, my fellow conservatives, we have been BETRAYED by the very people who promised that, if we would just elect them, they would get into office and vote OUR conservative values.
THEY LIED... THE GOP DIED.
But we CAN resurrect it -- IF we start TODAY to take action, by both booting out our failed fake-conservative "leadership" AND vowing to FIGHT tooth and nail against the coming tidal wave of destructive, anti-American legislation that's now heading our way... thanks to Obama, Pelosi and Reid.
We CAN fight back -- Join me now in the NEW Reagan Revolution, to bring Conservatism BACK!
ReaganAction.com
As I sit here looking at yesterday's election results -- maps, vote tallies, exit polls, state and national results, and much more -- I have to say that, like many of you, I'm in a state of shock.
Not because I'm surprised, mind you -- I warned you that this would happen if the Republican Party nominated John McCain for president.
Yes, I was right... but believe me, that doesn't make me happy. What it makes me... is angry.
* Angry at the Democrats, of course. Once again, they ran a campaign full of lies and hate-filled attacks, from Obama's claims that he had "never heard" his racist pastor's anti-American rhetoric over a 20-year period of time, to his claims that his terrorist friend Bill Ayers was "just a guy in the neighborhood," to outright slanderous speech against Governor Sarah Palin... but hey, I expect the Democrats to act that way. It's their nature.
* Angry at the "moderate" (meaning liberal) Rockefeller-wing of the Republican Party, who tried to kill the idea of grassroots involvement of hardworking, patriotic, conservative Americans in our party. There's NO grassroots activism when the Rockefeller wing's philosophy prevails; that wing of the party consists of "kingmakers" operating from behind the throne, while the Reagan wing of the party has always lived and thrived at the grassroots, where the real Americans live. When the Rockefeller-wing philosophy prevails, the GOP loses. When the Reagan wing is in control, we win.
* Angry with President Bush because he was unwilling to stop Republican Congressional leaders from overspending and because his administration failed to lay the blame for the financial crisis at the feet of Rep. Barney Frank and Senator Chris Dodd that protected Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac from reform.
* Angry at the so-called "leaders" of our party, who promised us that if we'd just vote for who they put up for election, we'd finally get what we wanted: smaller government, lower taxes, dramatically lower spending, pro-life laws, pro-marriage constitutional amendments, pro-American economics... well, YOU AND I put them in power, and they gave us nothing but BIG GOVERNMENT, BIG DEFICITS, and LIBERAL COMPROMISES.
I say, NO MORE! Join me now in the NEW Reagan Revolution, to bring Conservatism BACK!
ReaganAction.com
As bad as yesterday's election results were, I believe there IS "light at the end of the tunnel" -- I believe we now have the opportunity to finally turn out these fake "leaders" that have betrayed conservatism and given us Barack Obama. We have the opportunity to bring back the Reagan wing of the Republican Party, to slow down the socialist legislation from Pelosi and Reid, and to restore this great Republic to its original ideals of basic self-evident truths: our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
This is our chance, friend. It may be our ONLY chance to save our Party -- and it may be our LAST chance to save our country.
Here's what I'm doing to help make that happen: Today, I'm officially launching a new website, ReaganAction.com. This is no wimpy little website with some news articles and a bunch of editorial writers griping about how bad things are. The time for "just talking" is OVER -- now is the time for ACTION!
Every day, we'll give the members of this site -- our own "Reagan Activists" -- the information they need in order to take real grassroots action to counter the greatest political threat we've ever faced within our own government. It won't take a lot of time -- usually only a few minutes a day -- but the political payout will be HUGE!
Here are some of the things that YOU AND I will be able to do at ReaganAction.com:
* STOP LIBERAL BILLS -- We can expect an immediate onslaught of extreme liberal bills to be "fast-tracked" through Congress and signed by Obama. We will constantly be on the watch for these bills -- and every time they get introduced, we'll alert our Activists to literally FLOOD Capitol Hill with millions of phone calls, faxes, emails and even hand-delivered letters and petitions, DEMANDING that our elected legislators do what WE say, or else face our wrath at the next election!
* FIGHT LIBERAL EXECUTIVE ORDERS -- You can be sure that President Obama (oh, how that phrase terrifies me!) will get right to work on Day One, issuing Executive Orders that will make your skin crawl: repealing pro-life presidential directives, ordering agencies to fund far-left groups like ACORN and the ACLU, signing over American sovereignty to the United Nations and the European Union... he's got a long list! But for every liberal (and usually unconstitutional) Executive Order that Barack Obama issues, we'll alert our Activists to BARRAGE the White House with even MORE phone calls, faxes, emails and even hand-delivered letters and petitions, DEMANDING that he "reverse course" on those Orders or face a Republican Congress in 2010!
* EXPOSE LIBERAL CORRUPTION -- With the Democrats back in power in both Congress and the White House, you KNOW that they'll be falling right back into their habits of taking lobbyists' money under the table, trading votes for campaign contributions, spying on and sabotaging Republican legislative plans, covering up their leaders' sexual "flings," and spending taxpayer money on personal expenses like never before. But this time, YOU AND I will be there every step of the way, making sure that no stone is left unturned, every dark corner is filled with light, and every illegal act is paid for with censure, impeachment, recalls, investigations, and jail time for every criminal we expose in Washington, D.C.
* COUNTER THE LIBERAL MEDIA -- Whenever any of these things take place, we'll be directing our "Reagan Activists" to constantly fill the news media with letters to the editor, guest editorials, and news articles detailing the socialistic and corrupt policies of the new liberal regime, and offering America a better way -- the way of freedom... the CONSERVATIVE way.
Together, we CAN save America from the new liberal regime! Join me now in the NEW Reagan Revolution, to bring Conservatism BACK!
ReaganAction.com
And don't forget -- I'll also be spreading the word the same way I do already: by writing nationally-syndicated columns each week, and by speaking to over five million listeners each and every weekday on my nationwide radio show!
We MUST do this. Really -- what choice do we have, except to fight back and WIN? As my father, President Ronald Reagan, once said, "We must act today in order to preserve tomorrow."
My father wasn't afraid to call evil what it was -- and neither am I. He defeated the "Evil Empire" called the Soviet Union -- but now we face a new "Evil Empire." It's called Socialism, and it's taken over our once-free nation through the victories of Obama, Pelosi and Reid.
We do NOT have to give up. We do NOT have to slink into some dark corner and lick our wounds. This is OUR MOMENT TO SHINE -- and that's why I'm launching ReaganAction.com!
Like I said before, when the Reagan wing is in control, we win. We don't need kingmakers; we need workers, and until we get them we'll stay the minority party. We don't need to keep the toady liberals who call themselves the "leaders" of the Republican Party; we need conservatives to TAKE BACK the Republican Party, and GET RID OF those losers!
WILL YOU JOIN ME, and hundreds of thousands of your fellow conservative activists nationwide? Let's show these liberals what real REAGAN Republicans can do, when WE'RE in charge of the GOP!
Join me now in the NEW Reagan Revolution, to bring Conservatism BACK!

P.S. Already, the new radical regime in Washington, D.C. is planning their first legislative attacks on America:
* Huge increases in payroll and income taxes;
* Redistributionist "share the wealth" policies;
* Repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act;
* Forcing faith-based groups to hire gays;
* Repeal all state regulations on abortion through FOCA;
* Require taxpayer funding of abortion through Medicaid;
* Block all efforts to "Drill Here, Drill Now" in America;
* Impose universal health care through job-killing employer mandates;
* Appoint activists liberal Supreme Court judges;
* Kill conservative talk radio by re-instituting the "Fairness Doctrine";
* Require comprehensive sex education from the earliest grades in public schools;
* Enforce bilingual education in the public schools;
* Allow convicted felons to vote;
* Take secret ballot voting away from workers deciding on whether to unionize...
The list goes on and on and on...
And it's up to YOU AND I to stop them! Don't let the door slam shut on this opportunity to make a difference...

It's not time to greave, it's time to fight!

Woke up this morning and for some reason I was not physically ill. The morning after Bill Clinton was elected President I was sick to my stomach. So why with Barrack Obama am I not ill? Clearly he’s going to be a lot worse than Bill. And he’s got a Congress packed with Democrats who will be falling all over themselves to get every leftwing Marxist piece of legislation passed that they possibly can as fast as they possibly can. And there is nothing we can do about it for at least two years.
Ah, there is the rub. Now, after 8 years, finally, we cannot be blamed for anything. No more it’s George Bushes fault. No more excuses for the Democrats. It’s put up or shut up time.
Another Hurricane hit’s the gulf coast and the evacuation does not get pulled off properly. Call the Democrats.
The Hurricane destroys a gulf coast city and the aid isn’t instant and perfect. It’s because Barrack Obama doesn’t like black people. Call the Democrats.
The price of everything goes up and un-employment hits 15% as U.S. companies relocate overseas. Call the Democrats.
The U.S. fails to follow through on its drill-here-drill-now promise and the price of gas goes back up to $5 a gallon. Call the Democrats.
We have an increase of violence in the Middle East and have to commit more troops. Call the Democrats.
The U.S.A. fails to halt Iran’s nuke program and on the 11th hour Israel protects itself with a first strike that wipes Iran off the map. Call the Democrats.
The price of everything goes up and un-employment hits 15% as U.S. companies relocate overseas. Call the Democrats.
In two years when Congress and the President have a combined approval rating of 4 percent, it will be time for us to step up and fix the mess. So, No, Obama as President does not scare me much. The American people will not tolerate a Socialist agenda for long.
I foresee a lot of infighting in the Democrat party.
George C. Scott playing General Patton said it best, ‘the idea of losing is hateful to Americans.’ If Obama pulls out of Iraq we lose and the world will hate us. If he doesn’t his own supporters will hate him.
Obama doesn’t have to worry about re-election for four years, half of Congress and one third of the Senate have only two years. They need him to fix the economy and be popular. Between Biden’s promise of a botched world crisis and the simple fact that Obama’s policies are incapable of fixing the economy, everyone up for re-election will have to fight him if they want to keep their jobs.
And in four year, once he’s lost control of Congress and the Senate, and America has had four years to learn who this guy is (they didn’t know who he was when they voted for him), he is doomed to fall.
All this of course is based on the Republicans fighting him. I mean really fighting him, tooth and nail, educating the American people the whole time and actually running Conservatives, not reach-across-the-isle moderates like John McCain. No Obama does not scare me, the Republicans screwing things up again scares me.
